What Is A Breast Reduction Surgery?
The goal of breast reduction surgery is to reduce and lift the breasts by removing excess tissue and repositioning the nipples and surrounding tissue to improve the overall appearance of the breasts. Patients who have nipples that sit below the breast fold or point downwards, have breasts that are asymmetric, have breasts that are heavy and dense causing neck or back pain, and/or have breasts that sag or feel droopy will benefit from a breast reduction surgery. Our surgeons will review different types of breast reduction techniques and give a recommendation for surgery at your consultation.
The Aesthetica Difference
At Aesthetica Plastic Surgery, our surgeons bring a combined 28 years of experience and have performed over a thousand breast reduction procedures. This surgery requires a high level of expertise to carefully remove excess breast tissue, reposition the nipples, and reshape the breasts—all while preserving nerve function and minimizing scarring. With a refined surgical approach and an artistic eye, our surgeons are dedicated to delivering safe, natural-looking results that not only reduce breast size but also restore a more lifted and balanced appearance.
Journey To Confidence
At your consultation, you will be able to discuss questions and voice what you would like changed through surgery. Dr Crofts will discuss the details of the procedure and create a surgical plan with you. Our office staff will provide you with a cosmetic surgery quote or work with your insurance to get your procedure scheduled.
You will have a pre-operative appointment three weeks prior to surgery. At this appointment, you will sign consents, discuss any last minute questions and concerns, and get further pre- and post-surgery instructions.
Your surgery will take place at an accredited facility. This is generally a 3 to 5 hour procedure and you will be released home on the same day.
Generally, you will be seen 1 to 3 days after surgery and again 4 to 5 days later. Further post operative appointments will continue and be dependent upon your recovery.
Recovery for breast reduction surgery is generally 2 weeks. At Aesthetica, post operative care and safety is our number one priority. We see patients frequently after their procedure to assure healing and recovery is on track. Patients have 24 hour access to an on-call nurse for emergencies.

Dr Crofts and his team are all 5 stars. They made me feel very comfortable during everything for my breast augmentation. I highly recommend!
Had a wonderful experience with Dr Crofts and his team! I am 8 weeks post op and recovering nicely from a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. I had help all the way through my recovery from Dr Crofts and his nurses whenever I had questions or concerns. I would recommend Dr Crofts and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery to anyone with plastic surgery needs.
We couldn't be happier with the results of my daughter's breast reduction. Dr. Crofts is certainly a perfectionist and a very skilled plastic surgeon. My 17 yr old daughter went from a 32H to a 32C, which looks perfect on her frame. Dr Crofts did some side liposuction to get perfect contouring and gave her the wound vacs which made for a very easy and worry-free recovery. Everyone in Dr Crofts' office is so kind and they really care about their patients. We highly recommend Dr Crofts and his fabulous medical staff.
