Journey To Confidence
At your consultation, you will meet with our patient care team to review your medical history as well as your skin care concerns and goals. You will then meet with your provider to discuss the details of the TotalFX CO2 Laser Treatment, recovery and expectations. Please come to the office with no make up, a low collarless shirt and your hair pulled back. Our office staff will provide you with a quote and assist in scheduling a day for your resurfacing treatment.
You will have an appointment three weeks prior to your treatment to plan and prepare. At this appointment, you will sign consents, discuss any last minute questions and concerns, get your pre treatment goodie bag with your complimentary skin care products as well as further pre- and post laser instructions. Photos will be taken at this appointment so please come with no make up, a low collarless shirt and your hair pulled back.
You will arrive at our office about an hour before the treatment at which time you will start the numbing process. You will meet with our incredible team who will get you comfortable in preparation for your upcoming treatment. The treatment typically takes about 1 hour after which you will rest with cooling guaze until your caregiver arrives to pick you up. Patients who opt for sedation will need to refrain from eating and drinking starting the night before the procedure.
After your treatment, you may notice some swelling and inflammation. You will need to follow all the post procedure instructions carefully. Keep a light layer of ointment on the skin until healed.
It is recommended to avoid strenous activity for the first 2 weeks. You can apply mineral makeup around day 10. Make sure to keep your head elevated, stay hydrated and get plenty of rest to aid in healing.
As the skin heals, you will notice smoother, tighter skin with improved tone and texture. You will also enjoy the reduction in fine lines, skin discoloration, pore sizes, and acne scars. Within weeks, you will notice a more youthful, radiant complexion. New collagen production continues over the next 6-9 months when the full benefits become most apparent.
